What do the Friends do?
The Friends of Paul Memorial Library hold an annual Road Race and organize and annual yard sale to help raise funds to support the library in many ways. The proceeds from these fund raisers, combined with annual membership dues, allow the library to provide many services to Newfields residents. They provide for purchasing new DVDs and audiobooks, distributing free passes to several local museums and sponsoring the Summer Reading Program for kids of all ages. This year the Friends hosted the SRP kick-off with a presentation by a Granite State Zoo educator, purchased over 20 new books enhancing the children’s book collection, bought reading incentives for book loggers and will provide all of the accomodations for the final program- a make your own ice cream sundae party!
Annual membership dues to join the Friends of the Paul Memorial Library are $20.00. Memberships forms are included in the Friends of the Library quarterly newsletter that is mailed to all Newfields residents and are also available at the library.
The Friends of the Library Newsletter
The Friends provide a quarterly newsletter to keep the community informed about what’s happening around town and how their funds are being used to help everyone enjoy access to new and relevant cultural and inforamation resources all the time. A worthy and valuable cause!
