Great American Eclipse Lecture on July 31 at 7:00 pm

Please join us on Monday, July 31 at 7:00 pm for an exciting talk on the Great Eclipse that will take place on August 21, 2017!

John S. Gianforte, the Sky Guy, will be here to tell us all about this once in a lifetime event that no one should miss. Total Solar Eclipses are one of nature’s most awesome and inspiring events!

Most of New Hampshire will only see about 60% of the sun covered by the moon. John will provide you with a pair of safe, eclipse glasses, supplies by an approved NASA supplier that will allow you to view all of the partial phases from anywhere.

During this talk, John will cover:

-How to safely view the eclipse from NH and from within the eclipse path during totality

-Where to go to have the best chance to see the eclipse

-What to bring with you

-How to photograph the eclipse to bring back your own images

-How to build a pinhole camera to safely view the eclipse

-What to watch for here on Earth during the total phase of the eclipse
