Our Commitment to Our Community
The world is changing rapidly and at the moment there is a lot of uncertainty and concern regarding COVID-19. Everyone is trying to balance normal, everyday tasks with the public health concerns of a pandemic. Pandemic is a scary word, which the Director General of the World Health Organization did not use lightly in his remarks to the world. You can read his whole speech here; I want to focus on these words, “Prevention. Preparedness. Public health. Political leadership. And most of all: People. We’re in this together, to do the right things with calm and protect the citizens of the world. It’s doable.”
At the library, our main focus is on you and the Newfields community. We are committed to doing what we can to help prevent the spread of illness and provide calm, helpful service in the changing public health landscape. We strive to be proactive in these goals.
This message will outline available services to meet your educational and recreational needs, to help preserve normalcy in an uncertain time, and to help prevent the spread of illness.
Please contact me at any time at pmldirector@comcast.net or 603-778-8169.
Kind regards, Carl Heidenblad, Library Director.
