Did you know?

With your Paul Memorial Library card you can access thousands of downloadable books, magazines, and audio books right on your phone or mobile device.

The NH State Library and NH Downloadable Books Consortium have partnered to provide library patrons across the state with access to a wide variety of digital materials (powered through OverDrive) for children and adults.

So whether you’re looking for your next road trip audio book or can’t find a title in your local library–chances are you can find it on OverDrive!

We’ve made a tutorial of screenshots to walk you through the process of signing in and reserving books through the NH Downloadable Books website and their mobile app “Libby.”

Here’s how to get started…

Step 1: Go to paulmemoriallibrary.org and click on “Downloadable Books” under the Resources tab.

Step 2: You’ll be directed to the NH Downloadable Books Consortium sign in page. Choose the Newfields Library from the drop down list.

Step 3: Enter your library account info. The password should be your phone number. (Not sure what your member # is? Feel free to call or email the library and we’ll be happy to provide it.)

Step 4: You’ll then be logged in and can search for and reserve titles. (Go to “My Account” to see your list of reserves, current loans, and wish list).

Step 5: To borrow a book, click “Borrow” on the title and this pop up will appear. There is a drop down where you can select how long you wish to borrow the copy (7 or 14 days). The title will automatically return to the state database when the loan period expires.

Step 6: You can also do all this directly from your phone/mobile device through the Libby app. Sign in with your same library account info to set it up and read/listen on the go.

If you have any questions or trouble logging in to your account, feel free to reach out to your friendly neighborhood librarians the Newfields Library.

Happy reading!
