The Friends are looking for a Treasurer who will execute the duties of Treasurer, and enjoy promoting community and library events, as well as the company of our dedicated board.
Mission
The mission of Friends of the Newfields Public Library is to raise money to support the Paul Memorial Library by bringing together community members to focus attention on the library and stimulate public support, foster greater use of the library and its services, encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library and assist the library in developing its programs and facilities as an important center for the Newfields community.
The Treasurer shall…
- Be the chief financial officer of the Corporation
- Have custody of all moneys, securities, financial papers, books, and accounts
- Keep full and accurate accounts of all financial transactions of the Corporation
- Have such powers and duties as shall customarily belong to the Office of Treasurer, or as may be designated from time to time by the President or the Board of Directors.
