Celebrate National Reading Month with our new reading challenge: Read Across America!

The rules are simple. For every minute you read, we’ll log 1 mile on the map. At the end of the month, we’ll tally everyone’s miles. Register and track your reading on the Reader Zone app using the program code 6d134.

All participants can come to the library to pick out a prize from the treasure chest.

Let’s see how far Newfields can read!

How to Participate

To participate, simply sign up with Reader Zone. You can download the app or log in through your desktop. (The app is super easy to use!)

  1. Create an account and log in with the library’s program code: 6d134
  2. Select “Read Across America” program.
  3. Choose “All Ages.”
  4. Log your reading minutes. Use the timer on the app or add your minutes manually after you’re done.
  5. Every minute you read = 1 mile on the map.

**If you’ve already participated in a past reading program, then you can use your same logins as last time. The only difference is that this program is a time-based goal instead of a reading competition.

Call or email the library with any questions. Happy reading!
