We hope to “sea” you at the library for a special presentation on Whales and Seals by the UNH Extension program.
We will learn about how marine mammals stay warm, how big they are, and how they eat, exploring these topics with hands-on activities such as blubber gloves, feeding frenzy, and measuring a whale!
When: Wednesday, August 10
Time: 6:30pm
Where: Library Children’s Room
Recommended grades K-3 but all ages welcome. This will be an interactive program.
The UNH Marine Docent Program is a volunteer-based effort that presents educational programs which provide a link between the University’s research community and the public, run jointly by NH Sea Grant and UNH Cooperative Extension. Public library programs are part of the Check Out UNH program, made possible by a generous gift from a donor to UNH.
